Dear [X],
thank you for your two emails which i attach at the bottom of my reply.
I am unable to give a positive response to your inquiry. For multiple reasons.
-
I do not have any funds for paying APCs or the registration fee for society membership required by “ESMED.ORG”
-
I still am not sure about the relevance of the particular paper you point, about local and global context effects, with the general topic of the Medical Research Archives published by ESMED.ORG;
-
I did not find any official call for papers about a specific topic on the website (i might have missed it); your email does not look at all like such a call for papers
-
I was not sure your emails were genuine ; i did check on the “contact” page the little “Verify the authenticity of an email you received”, but this still puzzles me - such “checks” are strange (i might have missed recent internet evolutions about avoiding being spammed and email company/institution used by others)
-
Your email address is peculiar; not ending with “esmed.org”, as the official contact email on the webpage;
-
The “local and global context” paper that you do not cite but refer to in your email-text created a very unpleasant situation for many scientific actors, scientists and scientific institutions, including me ;
So, for the moment, i consider your emails are some kind of “scam”, or worse some type of harassement. For the simple reason that in the past I did receive analogous “calls for paper” using such type of phrasing and indirect reference to my article in the european journal of neuroscience.
I put in Cc various email addresses, some of which i have forwarded things in the past, in case we start to “officially” and “openly” disagree on who wrote what and when.
I strongly suggest you have a serious discussion with your editorial office and the whole Editorial Team and Editors, on the topic of how to make official calls for Specific Topics.
Thank you for the emails.
Best regards,
Tzvetomir Tzvetanov

Dear Dr. Tzvetanov,
I’ve been thinking more about the theme issue on Visual Perception and I wanted to let you know that we’ve had a great response so far, but there’s still room for a couple more articles that can add new insights to the discussion.
I’ve been discussing the issue with some of the other contributors and your work on local and global context has been mentioned several times as a key area of research that we’d like to see represented.
Have you had a chance to consider preparing an article for the issue?
Sincerely,
[…]

Dear Dr. Tzvetanov,
I’ve been following your work on the influences of local and global context on local orientation perception, and I was particularly intrigued by your recent study on the regular iso-orientation pattern of nearby location effects. The way you’ve demonstrated how the spatial structure globally modulates the reference point without complex interactions between local positions and orientation is fascinating.
I’m reaching out to you because I’m organizing a theme issue on Visual Perception in the official journal of the European Society of Medicine. The aim of this issue is to bring together cutting-edge research on the neural mechanisms underlying visual perception, including the role of context, attention, and prior knowledge. I believe your expertise in this area would be a valuable addition to the issue.
The theme issue will feature a collection of articles that showcase the latest advances in visual perception research, with a focus on the neural mechanisms underlying perception, as well as the implications for our understanding of human behavior and cognition. I think your work on visual perception, particularly your studies on the influences of local and global context, would be a great fit for this issue.
Would you be open to the idea of contributing an article?
Sincerely,
[…]

Dear recipients of this unwanted email message.
I found your email addresses here: https://fr.china-embassy.gov.cn/chn/[…]
Given that I could not find any other email address for putting the Embassy of China in France as the destinary, and the official email address of the embassy of P.R.China in France which I used in the past seems not working anymore, I looked around on the official web pages of the Embassy and [M]inistry of Foreign Affairs, in order to Cc them the message.
I found only your emails on the above link.
I would appreciate if one of you could forward the attached messages to some officials of the Embassy of China in France, given that the french part has already received it.
Thank you for your attention and my sincere apologies for the disturbance
